2022:   Presentation at the ASIP Conference 2022

2019:   Thierry Stehlin is appointed Technical Lead for the Swiss F/A-18 recertification project. Main activities are:

- Definition of strategy - how to show compliance to the requirements for each parts / sub-components in function of the information available (test results, Swiss fleet findings, other fleet findings, theoretical analyses, etc.)

- Definition of overarching methods - Lifing Policy, Scatter Factors, Analysis Guidelines

- Development of analysis methods and tools (Fatigue and Damage Tolerance, Statistics to handle findings, Risk Assessment, etc.)

- Checking of analysis and certification documents

- Team technical support (10 to 15 engineers)

2012:   Change company name to Stehlin Engineering

2011:   Thierry Stehlin is appointed CVE for structures for a Swiss company performing aircraft interiors modifications

2009:   Airbus level 2 signatories delegated to Thierry Stehlin for A320 and A380 family
- A320 family concessions
- A380 family FEA standard linear metallic and composite
- A380 family stress metallic
- A380 family F&DT (fatigue and damage tolerance)
- A350 stress metallic

2008:   Thierry Stehlin is appointed stress lead for the A350XWB Winglet for the B-Maturity phase (20 months). Main activities were:

-  Definition of methods for metallic & composite parts (static and damage tolerance)

-  Guidance for the FEMs build (global FEM, sub-models and integration)

-  Guidance for static, fatigue and damage tolerance analyses of metallic and composite parts

-  Stress team lead (planning, tasks definition and technical support of up to 10 engineers)

2006:   Thierry Stehlin is appointed stress lead for the A380 Outer Fixed Trailing Edge certification. Main activities were:

-  Definition of methods (static, fatigue and damage tolerance for metallic parts)

-  Documentation definition and review

-  Stress team lead (planning, tasks definition and technical support of up to 5 engineers).

2003:   Poster presentation at the ICAF 2003

1998:   Grounding of Structural Analysis Office (SAO) as a consulting firm for mechanical, transportation and aerospace industry. The founding member of the company is Mr. Thierry Stehlin who completed his study in mechanical engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in 1994 and specialised in lightweight structures.
